Small Aerial Target Once Again Entered Romania

According to the Romanian Ministry of Defence, on Saturday night, Romania scrambled its aircraft in response to the approach of a small aerial target to its airspace and a border breach.

Around 02:30, radars spotted a “small aerial target” in the Black Sea region. Because it was approaching the state line, they decided to use aircraft. The flight included two Romanian F-16s and two Spanish F-18s.

The target vanished from radar south of Kodyzhalyk at 04:30. The air raid alarm was cancelled around 5:10.

Earlier, a similar incident also occurred on the evening of October 17. At that time, an unidentified target flew 14 km deep into the country and disappeared from radar near the settlement of Amzacha.

Remnants of Russian strike drones used to assault Ukrainian ports on the Danube have been discovered in Romania on many occasions.
