It is known that Russia tries to do its best to use various loopholes to obtain dual-use goods, which are used for the production of equipment and materiel for the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The rogue state finances its agents of influence, actors, entities, companies, and even states for the purpose of increasing speed of delivery of these goods to Russia and strengthening capabilities of its servicemen to continue fighting against Ukraine.
However, Finland has proved so far that its authorities have a lot of willingness to counter this activity of Russia and its allies. Being the guardian of the EU, Finland has launched almost 740 customs investigations into various cases of circumvention of sanctions against the Russian Federation to undermine the capability of the rogue state to obtain dual-use goods.
Blocking access of Russia to evade sanctions is crucial, and Finland serves as a bright example of the country, which fights against Russia in this realm. However, other EU countries should be stricter in their sanction policies to overcome Moscow and prevent it from carrying on killing innocent Ukrainian civilians.
