Muscovy has intensified its anti-Ukrainian information attacks in the Polish information space. This time, they are using artificial intelligence as their tool. The generated content is disguised as innocent jokes and entertainment.
Polish-language TikTok is rapidly filling up with videos created using AI and presented as “humorous.” In reality, these videos systematically humiliate Ukrainians in Poland, imposing a distorted image of greedy and uneducated people who allegedly profit at the expense of Poles.
The particular threat of such pseudo-humor lies in its hidden nature: it is much more difficult for social media users to recognize propaganda disguised as satire. The Center has repeatedly documented similar information campaigns, where “humorous” content has been used as a tool to promote narratives beneficial to the Russian Federation and to manipulate public opinion.
The current wave in Poland has a clear goal: to sow distrust between Ukrainians and Poles, compromise Ukrainian refugees, and undermine public support for Ukraine. It is unfolding against the backdrop of a general increase in anti-Ukrainian messages in the Polish-language segment of social networks.
