Republican Representative Joe Wilson called the violation of Polish airspace by Russian Shahed drones an act of war.
He wrote about this on Twitter.
The congressman noted that Russia “attacked Poland” with Iranian drones less than a week after US President Donald Trump welcomed Polish President Karol Nawrocki to the White House.
“This is an act of war, and we are grateful to our NATO allies for their swift response to the ongoing unprovoked aggression of war criminal Putin against free and productive nations,” he wrote.
The congressman called on President Donald Trump to “respond with mandatory sanctions that will bankrupt the Russian military machine and arm Ukraine with weapons capable of striking Russia.”
According to Wilson, Putin is no longer content with just defeating Ukraine by bombing mothers and babies; now he is “directly testing our resolve on NATO territory.”
“Putin has said that ‘Russia knows no borders’. Free and prosperous nations will teach Russia its borders,” he stressed.
